Thompson Cemetery
Located in NW 1/4 Sec 29, Poe Township, Ringgold County, Iowa. Recorded for the Ringgold County Historical Society by Betty Ruby and Ruth Haley of Diagonal, IA on June 14, 1979. It is in a blue grass pasture and unfenced except for a cement enclosure about 3 foot high all around the noted graves on the diagram. The cement enclosure was placed there by John S. Thompson of Sunnyside, WA in 1929. There are approximately 4 rows of burials outside the enclosure. Other burials are evident but the markers are gone.
